When the current owners were looking to buy a home on Mercer Island in 2007 they were looking for a home that gave them ample square footage, had a good layout, and was located on a nice street.

Since 2007 the owners have transitioned the 1966 Cape Cod style home into a Craftsman.

Every detail and material for the renovation was carefully considered. Big changes came by adding a master suite and transforming the bonus room into a light filled space. The current owners spend a majority of their time in the kitchen, dining, and family room. They worked with the existing extra-wide galley kitchen and replaced all the plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems (including the water main into the house!).
